Hawkes Bay jolted by 4.2 quake


Hawkes Bay has been jolted by a magnitude 4.2 earthquake.


The Mercalli intensity - how strongly the quake is felt on the surface - was 6, GNS Science said.


The tremor hit at 2.22pm, was centred 20km east of Napier and was 14km deep.
