Woman knocked over, injured by sheep

A woman's been airlifted to hospital after she was run down by a flock of sheep.

The woman, who's in her 50s, was mustering sheep on a farm south of Dannevirke when she was knocked down.

She has serious leg injuries and was treated on the scene by paramedics before being taken a short distance by ute to a waiting emergency helicopter, which took her to Palmerston North Hospital.
