Hawke's Bay girl sustains spinal injuries

A 12 year old girl has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining spinal injuries from a fall off playground equipment at Porangahau school. 


The Lower Corporation Rescue Helicopter said it responded after the girl fell 3-4 metres from climbing equipment at school in Porangahau.


She sustained suspected spinal injuries and was airlifted with her mother by rescue helicopter to Hawke's Bay Regional hospital for further treatment.


No further details were immediately available.
