Hawke's Bay intellectuals can rejoice - Mensa New Zealand is inviting locals to get involved in World Intelligence Day.
Last year the day was celebrated by Mensa in 160 towns around the globe.
This year Hawke's Bay, with 11 other centres in New Zealand, will be offering IQ-testing sessions on Saturday.
Mensa members come from all walks of life and participate in a variety of social and cultural activities.
Their only shared attribute is a qualifying IQ score.
The testing sessions will give people a chance to see if they qualify for Mensa membership, which is available to those with an IQ in the 98th per centile of the population.
To celebrate World Intelligence Day, testing will be offered at a cost of $10 or $5 for students or unwaged people.
