Work projects and community events are taking place throughout Hawke's Bay's state highway network and motorists can expect minor delays, the New Zealand Transport Agency says.
On SH2 there are 11 notified sites, four of them between Napier and Takapau.
Broadband cable-laying is taking place at Pandora, road resurfacing and cycle lane work between Clive and Hastings, and roadside telecom work around Pukehou, while at Waipukurau tomorrow the local volunteer fire service has its centenary parade. A detour will be in place for that.
North to Wairoa, there is tree removal around Tangoio, surface reconstruction also around Tangoio, at Lake Tutira and at sites between Putorino and Wairoa, and drainage maintenance work around Morere.
Surface reconstruction work is also being done on SH5 stretches between Eskdale and Te Pohue, Glengarry and Te Haroto, and just north of Tarawera.
The only major works project on the go in the Bay is the replacement of the bridge near Ardkeen on SH38 between Wairoa and Tuai.
