Hawke's Bay Wine and Food goers certainly won't be bored at next year's event - with workshops, a fashion show, entertainment aplenty and the chance to taste wines from 24 local vineyards.
For the second year, HB Wine and Food will be held on January 29 at Roy's Hill in Gimblett Gravels winegrowing region.
"We are trying to create something that's a little different," festival organiser Carol-Ann Stubbs said.
"Last year was the first time we had everything in the one place, the decentralised format we had before needed a revamp, we did the research and found people were spending lots of time on the bus."
A varied line-up of talented musicians will be playing on the day, from New Zealand DJ Dick (Magik) Johnson, to Australian Jazz singer/songwriter Vince Jones, and old school soul favourites Ardijah.
"There will also be four informative workshops including a syrah workshop with leading winemaker Tony Bish from Sacred Hill and a seafood workshop with chef Jeremy Rameka from Pacifica with wine matched by Gordon Russell from Esk Valley.
A festival market will showcase local food producers and children get a special play area, complete with merry go round, bouncy castle and giant sandpit.
Ms Stubbs said this year the focus was on cementing the centralised venue as a great place to sample a little bit of everything in one place.
"Roys Hill is the heart of wine country, we think we have got a really great sight, it also levels the playing field for all wineries ... even if they don't have a cellar door people can taste their wines.
"For us it's all about wine and food and the entertainment complements that," Ms Stubbs said.
Tickets are $45 general admission including entry, festival glass and goody bag and $65 for a HB Wine & Food bus ticket including bus travel, entry, festival glass and goody bag. Visit www.hawkesbaywineandfood-festival.co.nz
