A few famous names have left our mortal realm in quick succession these past few days.
First, funny man and comedic genius Rik Mayall departed, then 'Allo 'Allo star Sam Kelly - and now Casey Kasem has followed suit.
Casey was a well-known American radio personality and actor but is perhaps best-known here for portraying the voice of Scooby Doo's Shaggy from 1969 to 1997 - and again from 2002 until 2009.
Kasem was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2007. His condition (which his daughter later said was Lewy body dementia - difficult to distinguish from Parkinson's) left him unable to speak.
Although it is sad when those who bring their fans such joy and laugher pass on, we are lucky their bodies of work are preserved in the archives, ready to be enjoyed again and again, whenever we like. These three will continue to bring laughter for generations to come.
You can't fool us, Mariah
Mariah Carey is refusing to age gracefully. At the weekend, she tweeted a pic of herself with the caption: "Quality time with #dembabies - so much happiness." Get over yourself, Ms Diva, that pic is 17 years old!
Sharp-eyed Twitter folk were quick to point out the image was snatched from an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, taped 14 years before "dem babies" were born.
Access denied
The obsessed fan who says he would rather die than live without Miley Cyrus might find life tough going for a while, as a judge has ruled he can't come anywhere near her for 3 years.
Lawyers for Miley have reportedly obtained a restraining order against Devon Meek, who was arrested in May near the Wrecking Ball star's home. The judge has also banned him from the venues where Miley performs.
Meek claims he hears voices in his head and thinks Miley is talking to him through the radio. He vows to keep pursuing Miley when he is released.
Oh, dear.
