Bridal hairstyles

Plan your hairstyle well in advance of your wedding day especially if you are thinking about growing or colouring your hair.

There are many options and aspects to consider such as a hair style that links in with your overall theme and the style of your gown. You could be contemporary, have a vintage or retro style or go bohemian. One of the major decisions is whether to have your hair loose and flowing for a natural look or an 'updo' for a more sophisticated look.

Collect clippings of hair styles you think would suit your big day and take them along to your stylist who will be happy to help work out the best style, colour and cut.

Arrange for a trial styling to ensure you are happy with the hairstyle you have chosen and make sure you have firm bookings for the wedding day.

When you've decided on your style take your veil or hair accessories to your stylist so she can cut your hair to suit to ensure you look perfect on the day. She'll need to know if you'll be removing the veil or headpiece after the ceremony as you'll want to be looking your best throughout the day.

Most brides prefer to have their hair done together with their bridesmaids on the day of the wedding. Many stylists will visit you all at home and offer makeup services too.
