Federated Farmers and you, stronger together

By Jeremy Blandford

As individuals, supporting us is one of the best things farmers can do to ensure our advocacy with local and central government and other organisations continues to support profitable, sustainable and innovative farming in New Zealand.

Federated Farmers is optimistic that agriculture and New Zealand farmers have a bright future ahead providing people with quality food, providing the globe with superior fibre and filling the nation's pockets with prosperity.

But in order to make that a reality, Federated Farmers needs you, as a member, to support our work in national, regional and industry issues.

The Federation continues to deal with issues which have the potential to impact farming viability. It researches, lobbies and negotiates extensively to ensure the best outcomes, for you as a farmer, have been achieved.

Federated Farmers tirelessly lobbies central Government for the interest of farming on nationwide issues like the Emissions Trading Scheme, rural broadband and funding for irrigation schemes.

It is also in local council chambers around the country fighting for fair rates, bylaws and rules that won't constrict your business.

That is why the Federation welcomes you, your employees and anyone related to the agriculture industry as members of Federated Farmers.

The support of the rural community is vital to the success of Federated Farmers. The real strength of the Federation is the size of its voluntary membership.

A loud collective voice is critical in ensuring Federated Farmers can successfully influence key policy decisions in central and local government, and consequently your individual support is very important.

We value your membership, and we value your farming business. Your Federated Farmers' membership is worth many times its price.
