The Topp Twins are back, bringing their comedy and country music show 'The Grand Ole Topp'ry' to Hamilton's Founders Theatre.
Lynda Topp said the show is a play on the Grand Ole Opry - a radio broadcast which became a live show dedicated to honouring America's country music history and present, showcasing a mix of country legends and chart-toppers.
The Topp's well-known comedy characters such as Ken and Ken will take to the stage, and a few new personalities are set to make their debut.
Camp Mother and Camp Leader will be staying behind to man the fort at home.
Lynda Topp said the show was designed to bring the audience all the genres of country music, and tell of its history in New Zealand.
"There will be a couple of characters that will be there, who were there when country music was born and Ken and Ken have a whole new wardrobe - a great travel wardrobe. It is a whole new show!"
Born in Huntly, Lynda and Jools Topp are known for their country-influenced style, live shows and television performances, and portray a variety of characters in their comedy shows.
Special guests include multi-award-winning country artist Tami Neilson, supported by Dave Khan and Ben Woolley, plus the all-girl Johnny Cash band, The Johnnys, The X Factor contestant Cam Luxton and Kiwi legend guitarist Phil Doublet.
The first show will kick off in Invercargill on October 1, moving its way up the country to Hamilton on October 23.
Lynda said the show evolves as they go, so it doesn't get tired as they tour.
"Our take on the Grand Ole Opry (Topp'ry) will celebrate country music's diversity and will be a night of rollicking good fun, foot-stomping music to laugh and live by, as well as paying respect to something larger than ourselves."
