Jovaan Graham's death: Name suppression lifted for pair

Name suppression has been lifted for the man and woman who are believed to have been with 18-year old Jovaan Graham from Tauranga who was found dead outside Pohlen Hospital in Matamata early on Wednesday morning.

A car struck the Tauranga teen on the Kaimai Range and the vehicle's driver was allegedly abducted and assaulted but managed to escape and raise the alarm.

Thomas McDonald (30) and Cheyanne McCausland (23) appeared in Tauranga District Court today charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping, injuring with intent and the unlawful use of a vehicle.

No bail application has been made.

McDonald and McCausland have been remanded in custody by Judge Peter Stiller.

The pair is due to appear back in court in April 16.
