Three men have been arrested after an alleged serious assault in Hamilton on Sunday.
Police are seeking further witnesses to the incident which took place on the corner of Norton Road and Torrington Avenue at lunchtime.
"At about 12.10pm on the 1st of July 2012 a number of members of the public rang Police regarding a man being assaulted by a group of men from a dark blue coloured Ford Fairmont," said Hamilton Senior Sergeant Pete Simpson.
"Traffic was reasonably heavy at the intersection of Mill Street, Hall Street and Norton Road at the time and I would ask anyone who saw this incident occurring to contact Hamilton Police on 07 858 6200".
The three men have been arrested on assault charges and will appear in the Hamilton District Court on Monday 2nd June.
