The More FM Summer Vineyard Tour has withdrawn the Hamilton show on Waitangi Day (6 February) from the February tour run.
Organisers said that while the tour has been strongly supported and has sold well in all other regions - even leading to a change to the bigger venue of the TSB Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth - it appears the Hamilton date's ticket sales have been hindered by the prevailing long weekend, traditionally when many head out of town.
Despite the cancellation, existing Hamilton ticket holders won't have to miss out completely on the world-class show, featuring US soul sensation Aloe Blacc, Australia's renowned John Butler Trio, and Kiwis Tiki Taane and Annabel Fay. Options are:
Tickets already purchased (or won as prizes) for the Hamilton date will be honoured at the Auckland show on Saturday 11 February, Turanga Creek Winery (only 50 mins drive from Hamilton).
A free return bus service from Hamilton to Auckland (direct to the show) on Saturday 11 February will also be made available for existing Waikato ticket holders requiring transportation.
Bus tickets need to be registered by emailing your name and ticket number to hamiltonbus@summervineyardtour.co.nz before Friday 27 th January at 5pm.
Ticketholders will be emailed back details of departure times and pick up/drop off points.
Hamilton ticket holders can go through the EXPRESS LANE at the Auckland gate.
Existing Hamilton tickets will alternatively be honoured at any other of the North Island Shows on the Tour.
Those who do not wish to attend any of the other shows can have tickets refunded at point of purchase.
