What better way for a supermodel to acquaint herself with New Zealand than a copy of the Herald.
Heidi Klum lands in New Zealand early this afternoon, part of a whirlwind tour to launch her new Bendon Intimates collection.
• We will be live-streaming an exclusive Q&A with Heidi here on nzherald.co.nz from 8.45pm.
"Coming to you next New Zealand...It's my first visit and I'm so excited!" Klum tweeted as she left Australia this morning, along with this photograph of her reading the Herald.
Klum will attend a red-carpet event tonight when she unveils her new Bendon Intimates collection at Auckland's SkyCity.
She earlier said she hoped to try some traditional New Zealand cuisine while here. "I'm all about food," she says. "I love all the traditional foods. When I go home to Germany, I want to eat schnitzel and strudel and sauerkraut. I want to eat traditional food when I come to New Zealand."
The supermodel will treat around 150 VIP guests to an exclusive runway show showcasing her lingerie range before she does a Q&A.
Tomorrow she will have high tea with fashion media before meeting competition winners at the Bendon store in Newmarket.
Auckland is the last stop on a global launch campaign tour for the supermodel, who has replaced Elle Macpherson as the face and creative director of Bendon's Intimates range.
