McDonald's Australia will be serving hashbrowns and hotcakes all day, while hungry Hamiltonians have been trialing the all-day breakfast concept for about a fortnight.
The fast food giant responded to overwhelming demand on the back of a successful all-day breakie trial in the US. Shiftworkers and late risers were often missing the 10.30am breakfast cut-off, McDonald's Australia spokesman Mark Lollback said.

The Wollongong outlet, in NSW, made all-day breakie a permanent fixture yesterday.
Meanwhile, here in NZ, McDonald's in Hamilton began trialing the all-day breakfast in mid-June.
"Fans in Hamilton will now be able to sleep in and still enjoy the McDonald's breakfast menu, as the Frankton McDonald's restaurant trials all-day breakfast," local spokeswoman Kim Bartlett told NZME.
However, Miss Bartlett couldn't confirm if or when all-day breakfast would roll out across other parts of the country.
Miss Bartlet said the most popular McDonald's breakfast items in New Zealand, that was "the mighty hashbrown, followed by the bacon and egg McMuffin," she said.
The Gold Coast will be the next to serve "breakfast favourites" 24 hours, seven days a week.
