CAPE TOWN - Dutch midfielder Demy de Zeeuw could be ruled out of the World Cup soccer final after suffering a suspected broken jaw in his team's 3-2 semifinal victory over Uruguay.

Coach Bert van Marwijk said the Ajax star, who came into the side in place of the suspended Nigel de Jong, was undergoing X-rays in hospital.

De Zeeuw suffered the injury when he was accidentally kicked in the face by Uruguay defender Martin Caceres in the first half of the semifinal today.
