There were some line-up changes with James Blake and Kiwi starlette Lorde pulling out of the festival due to a schedualing clash with the 2014 Grammy awards in the US.
Lorde instead performed a stand alone sideshow at the same venue two days later.
The festival started on the streets of Melbourne in 2005 and has since spread to Auckland, Singapore and the US.
Check out TimeOut on October 2, which will feature the full Laneway line-up and interviews with several acts.
