A host of celebrities have backed Sir Elton John's boycott of Dolce and Gabbana clothing after the design duo said they were against gay adoption and branded IVF babies "synthetic".

The Hole rocker has backed Sir Elton John after he called for a boycott of the designers' clothing label after they said they were against gay adoption and branded children conceived through fertility treatment "synthetic".
Also Tweeting her outrage, lesbian tennis legend Martina Navratilova has thrown her D&G garments "in the bin".
While she didn't condemn the designers, Victoria Beckham - who has sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10, and Harper, three, with husband David Beckham - has also sent her support to Elton, his husband David Furnish and their sons Zachary, five, and Elijah, two.
Following Elton's call to boycott the firm, the design duo have spoken out to insist they didn't intend to "judge other people's choices" .
Stefano Gabbana said: "We talked about our way of seeing reality, but it was never our intention to judge other people's choices. We do believe in freedom and love".
His design partner, Domenico Dolce, said while his own family was "traditional", that did not "imply that I don't understand different ones".
"I was talking about my personal view, without judging other people's choices and decisions."
Following their original remarks, in which they said they "oppose gay adoptions because the only family is the traditional one" and that "life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed," Elton took to Instagram to slam the pair.
A host of other stars have backed Elton, including Sharon Stone, Ricky Martin, Ryan Murphy and John Barrowman.
