Jessica Biel has stolen the show in a daring dress at the Hitchcock premiere in California.

The newly-married actress walked the red carpet in a stunning Gucci number at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.

Check out pictures of the dress from all angles.

Usually, the 30-year-old would have to compete with her blonde co-star Scarlett Johansson for attention, but this time she went solo, with her colleague unable to attend.

Biel's floor-length black gown was adorned with huge ruffles at the front of her chest, which snaked round to her back.

The halter-neck style of the dress allowed for a flash of skin at the sides.

This combined with a super low-cut back added sex appeal to the otherwise demure gown.

Due to the intricate detail at the front of the frock, Biel opted to keep her hair and make-up simple.

The brunette beauty swept her locks into a cute up-do with a quiff, adding a playful dimension to the look.

Biel needs little make-up to look gorgeous and kept eyeliner to a minimum, whilst emphasising her mouth with a slick of pink lipstick.

Ruffles can be a great way to spice up a plainer outfit, such as a little black dress.

If you're busty, steer clear from ruffles around the chest like Biel's, as they could make you appear top-heavy.

If you're petite, try detail around the waist to give the illusion of a curvier shape.

Biel's co-stars Toni Collette and Dame Helen Mirren also joined her on the red carpet, with Collette looking gorgeous in a fitted red dress.

Dame Helen opted for a lacy black and gold number, teamed with stunning chandelier earrings.

Sir Anthony Hopkins, who plays Alfred Hitchcock in the biopic, was unable to attend due to work commitments.
