Sunday's $HK10 million ($3.2 million) Queen Elizabeth Cup in Hong Kong is to be shown live on the TAB's racing channel, but it will not be part of free-to-air Trackside.
The TAB said yesterday the Queen Elizabeth would be one of three races to be screened from Hong Kong but all three would be part of its subscriber digital service. Coverage starts from 7.30 pm.
The Queen Elizabeth (2000m), starting at 8.35 pm, features the Waikato-trained Kaapstad Way, who goes into the race with a last-start second in the group-one $A1 million weight-for-age Mercedes Classic at Rosehill on April 7.
Kaapstad Way arrived safely in Hong Kong on Monday after a 9 1/2 hour flight from Melbourne and was accompanied by co-trainer Colleen Wood.
Wood's husband and training partner, Chris, said the horse lost about 10kg on the trip.
"Colleen took him for a walk and a light jog on Tuesday morning and said he was very bright. He's pretty hard and fit and we won't have to do much with him this week."
Kaapstad Way has won more than $A1 million in stakes this season. He will be ridden by Melbourne's top jockey, Damien Oliver, who will ride at Randwick in Sydney on Saturday before departing for Hong Kong.
