The Zealand Warriors have secured their first-ever win over the Brisbane Broncos in their NRL match at Ericsson Stadium tonight.
The scores were locked at 12-all, until a field goal from Stacey Jones eight minutes from fulltime put the Warriors into the lead.
Both sides scored two tries apiece, the Warriors scoring their two in the first half.
Winger Henry Fa'afili was the first to dot down and forward Logan Swann scored the second.
Jones converted Swann's try to take the Warriors to a 10-0 lead.
The defending NRL champions then hit back with a converted try to Corey Parker, before Jones gave the Warriors a 12-6 halftime lead with a penalty just before the break.
Broncos' halfback Shaun Berrigan scored their second try halfway through the second spell, but Michael de Vere could not convert the try to give the Queensland team the lead.
The scores remained tied, until Jones stepped up to kick the winning field goal.
