The Warriors have made several changes to their line-up for the clash with Brisbane this Sunday, centre Ivan Cleary confirmed, Ali Lauiti'ti returning to the bench after injury and Cliff Beverley elevated to start.
David Myles goes to the bench to make way for kicker Cleary, Matt Spence makes way for Lauiti'ti while Beverley's interchange form has forced Lee Oudenryn to the bench.
Brisbane yesterday lost utility Phillip Lee, out for the season after he was diagnosed with cruciate ligament damage and was sent for full knee reconstruction, a replacement yet to be named.
Centre Shaun Berrigan was confirmed to start despite spending three days this week in hospital on an intravenous drip after he contracted an arm infection.
The National Rugby League's chief executive, David Moffett, yesterday told the Warriors that personal fines of $15,000 each would be levied against coach Mark Graham and chief executive Trevor McKewen in light of comments they made about the refereeing of Monday night's game against Wests Tigers and earlier remarks regarding Wests' skipper Jarrod McCracken's escape from suspension at the judiciary.
The club refused any response on that. But there was much disquiet that news of the fines came via Australian media before any official notification.
And any Warriors fan might wonder why Canberra's Mal Meninga received no more than a censure for similar remarks last season.
