Ben Affleck has taken to Twitter to apologise for a 2003 incident in which he "acted inappropriately".
Actress Hilarie Burton alleged Affleck groped her during a live 2003 interview when she was working as a host on music video and celebrity chat show Total Request Live.
Affleck took to Twitter to apologise after the allegations resurfaced on Twitter.
Burton referenced the incident when someone mentioned them on Twitter, saying she hadn't forgotten it.
She also said: "I was a kid," and, "I had to laugh back then so I wouldn't cry".
Affleck had earlier taken to Facebook to condemn Harvey Weinstein, saying he was "saddened and angry" by his alleged behaviour.
Claims Weinstein sexually harassed a number of female employees for almost three decades recently surfaced, and he has since lost his job, his wife has left him, and he has reportedly flown to Europe for treatment for sex addiction.
Affleck claimed the recent new of additional assault allegations made him feel "sick".
