Former cricket captain Brendon McCullum has chipped in to help the Block NZ's Ling and Zing, donating $100 to the losing team.
On Twitter, McCullum posted a digital receipt from Givealittle, with the caption "Hand the hat around for Ling & Zing".
At least two Givealittle pages have been set up for the reality TV show's contestants.
One Block fan calculated Ling and Zing would have made about 48 cents an hour working on the show - between them.
Fundraising for Ling and Zing has reached more than $16,000 and a page for Stace and Yanita, who were pipped for first after Andy and Nate got a second go at auction, has received more than $1300 in donations.
Stace and Yanita scored $20,000 in profit, but Nate and Andy secured $31,000 and were declared winners of the show's $100,000 prize.
This year's auctions garnered record low profit, with a combined total of $65,000, compared to last year's $981,000.
The roller-coaster finale did pull in viewers, however. The live auction delivered a 15.6 rating and 44.5 per cent share of the 25-54 demographic on Sunday night.
This year's season concluded with an average series rating of 11.0 and 31.1 per cent share - 20 per cent higher than last year's series.
