Fox announces release dates for Avatar, Deadpool, X-Men sequels

It's a good day to be a movie buff with official release dates for some of the most highly anticipated sequels in cinema announced today.

The much-hyped sequel to Ryan Reynolds' superhero hit Deadpool has been on fans' minds ever since the first teaser.

Now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox has announced that Deadpool 2 will hit cinemas on June 1, 2018.

Fox also announced official release dates for the four upcoming Avatar sequels, which are set to be shot here in New Zealand.

The first film is slated for a December 2020 release, finally beginning production after being delayed on multiple occasions.

And that's not all, as two other movies got dates today: Marvel's teenaged superhero flick New Mutants and the latest X-Men installation, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which will be out April and November 2018 respectively.
