Troubled singer Chris Brown is the subject of another police investigation after he allegedly "sucker punched" a photographer at a Florida nightclub.
Tampa police spokesman Stephen Hegarty said 28-year-old Bennie Vines Jr was hired by the nightclub Aja Channelside to take photos during an event hosted by Brown.
Vines told officers that while he was snapping photos early on Monday, local time, Brown punched him. Brown was gone by the time officers arrived.
Vines refused medical treatment and told officers he wanted to prosecute because of a minor lip cut.
The club confirmed the incident on its Facebook page Monday and apologised to patrons.
The event hosted by Brown was one of several in Florida over the Easter period.
Brown, singer of the hit Five More Hours and the recent track Privacy, completed probation in a 2009 felony assault case for an attack on singer Rihanna, his then-girlfriend.
In 2015 he apologised for posting threatening messages on Twitter to Tyson Beckford after the model snapped a picture with his ex.
Brown's 2015 tour to New Zealand was cancelled after he was earlier refused a visa due to his history of domestic violence.
In August last year former beauty queen Baylee Curran called police alleging Brown had threatened her with a gun inside his Los Angeles home.
