Hot Atlanta rapper Young Thug has just joined the lineup for Laneway 2017, after another act was forced to pull out.
Unfortunately, The Julie Ruin had to withdraw from the festival "due to medical reasons", but it's good news for hip hop fans as Young Thug steps in to fill their slot.

Up until recently, the rapper was best known for his collaborations with the likes of Travis Scott, Gucci Mane and Jamie xx, but this year he made his own mark on the hip hop scene with his album Jeffrey.
The release featured his massive singles Pick Up the Phone and Wyclef Jean and drew hugely positive results from critics, with Laneway New Zealand co-promoter Mark Kneebone calling him "one of the most brilliant voices of his generation".
