As greetings go, it was an odd choice of words when wrapping up an interview with one of Hollywood's most powerful men.
Aussie reporter Amy Parks had a chat with acting heavyweight Tom Cruise, which aired on Sunrise this morning, and although the pair had a friendly rapport through the interview - it was their third meeting - they parted on slightly odd terms.

"Maybe I'm getting a little bit embarrassing now, and my Tom Cruise-related behaviour needs to be restrained," Parks warned Sunrise hosts David Koch and Samantha Armytage as she introduced the interview.
For the most part, Parks' chat with the 54-year-old Mission Impossible star went without a hitch, as the pair spoke animatedly about his upcoming starring role in a reboot of The Mummy. Things took a turn, though, when it came time for Parks to bid him farewell.
"Well, it's always good to see you Tom Cruise, and catch up like a couple of old gals."
Old gals? For his part, Cruise graciously brushed off the suggestion he's an elderly woman, shaking Parks' hand and thanking her for her time.
As Sunrise cut back to Parks in a London studio, she was rather red-faced about her slip of the tongue.
"See, I told you it's embarrassing, isn't it?"
"You two are mates," Armytage offered.
"I really enjoy his company - you can tell in that one," Parks said sheepishly.
