His in-laws were with her but Kanye West, who has spoken of his own political ambitions, has told fans he would have voted for Donald Trump.
At a concert in San Jose, West revealed that he didn't bother to vote in the US election - but that if he did he would have voted for Mr Trump.
That is at odds with his wife, Kim Kardashian, and her family who were vocal supporters of Hillary Clinton.
"I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told y'all I didn't vote, right? What I didn't tell you ... If I were to have voted, I would have voted on Trump," he said.
"I wanted to say that before the election, but they told me, 'Whatever you do, don't say that aloud.'"
"Not only did I not vote, but there were a lot of things I actually liked about Trump's campaign. His approach was f**king genius - because it worked."
West has repeatedly said he plans to run for president in 2020, and he reportedly restated that to his fans.
"I got some ideas about the way we should connect our ideas," he said.
However his fans were there to listen to his music, not his views on an election that he didn't even vote in and booed the rapper.
Parts of the crowd kept yelling "shut up" and started throwing things at West.
