The first teaser trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been released.
The first look at the fifth instalment in the franchise sees Javier Bardem's villainous character Captain Salazar visiting Brenton Thwaites's character Henry in his prison cell and giving him the task of finding Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp ).
"Find Sparrow for me and relay a message from Captain Salazar and tell him, 'Death comes straight for him.' Will you say that to him? Please?" Bardem says in the trailer.
Earlier this year the series' producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted saying, "Captain Jack is back and we're not letting him go," with an accompanying picture of the character looking scared, tied to the below-board mast a of a ship by two filthy pirates.
Production on the film was halted in March when Depp injured his hand and had to leave the set. The actor flew from Australia to the US for surgery.
The film also stars Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush and Oscar winner Javier Bardem, who will be appearing as Captain Salazar. With Depp safely back on set in Australia, this photograph is the first press shot from the new film.
