According to The Hollywood Reporter, prosecutors claim Medina stabbed Joshua Sutter "several times in the abdomen" following an argument over Medina's girlfriend.

Medina reportedly called 911 after the attack and waited for police to arrive.

Sutter was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.

Medina appeared as Cole Evans/Red Wild Force Ranger in the 2002 series Power Rangers Wild Force.

He more recently appeared as the sword-wielding character Deker in Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Super Samurai in 2011 and 2012.

Both of these latest seasons were filmed in New Zealand.
