What did Tina Fey really say about this Bill Cosby joke at the Emmys?

The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards wouldn't have been complete without a Bill Cosby joke. And when it happened, Tina Fey's face spoke for everyone.

As the broadcast returned from a commercial break, introduction music played and the ceremony's voice-over announced the former star of The Cosby Show would be presenting an award.

"Ladies and gentlemen, four-time Emmy Award winner, Dr Bill Cosby," the announcer said.

After cameras cut to a confused Ellie Kemper, they then shot over to Tina Fey, who was seen making a frantic comment to pal Amy Poehler.

Viewers were quick to speculate what the former 30 Rock star said.

Of course, Fey and Poehler are familiar with cracking Cosby jokes at awards show. The pair shocked everyone by taking several jabs at the accused rapist and former TV star when they hosted last year's Golden Globes ceremony.

After watching an endless loop of the moment, we think Feysaid something along the lines of, "Ooh, is someone gonna do a Cosby joke?"

Others suggest she said: "This has to be a joke".

Either way, just like Fey, fans were nervous and excited about what was about to happen.

But it turns out it was indeed a big joke. Host Jimmy Kimmel strolled onstage after the announcement, telling the audience: "He's not really here, I just wanted to see what you guys would do".

You can see Tina's reaction in the below video at the nine second mark.
