James Corden may have nabbed her for Carpool Karaoke, but Ellen DeGeneres just went one better with Britney Spears, taking her on a surprise mall trip, to the shock and delight of shoppers.
The talk show queen and pop princess arrived at LA's Westfield Fashion Square shopping mall unannounced for a new segment on Ellen's show, and proceeded to run amok - because "we're celebrities."
Attacking store props, snuggling up in a display bed, trying on men's suits, pigging out on ice cream - the pair did it all, while shocked shoppers looked on, camera phones in hand, hardly able to believe that they were shopping alongside two of the most famous women in the world.
The down-to-earth singer, whose newly-released album Glory has been praised as a return to form, recently admitted that the perks of fame didn't extend to her love life.
"I had a really bad date. I mean, it was really bad," the 34-year-old told Marie Claire magazine.
"I've been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn't like me. In the evening I got on the scales and I had lost six pounds. We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn't working. It was sort of awkward."
The Make Me singer was obviously very disappointed by the outcome.
"It just didn't work. He just wasn't that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn't feel the same," she revealed.
