Something's afoot in the emo-sphere as yet another band is coming back into our lives.

First My Chemical Romance seemed to be staging a comeback, Panic! at the Disco announced a New Zealand show, Skrillex looked to be rejoining From First to Last, and now this.

Alexisonfire is coming to play a show in New Zealand for the first time in a decade.

The Canadian rockers were huge on the scene in the early 2000s, releasing four critically acclaimed albums, winning multiple awards and building a dedicated fanbase before breaking up around 2011.

But now, having reunited last year, the band will play one show at Auckland's Powerstation on Monday, January 23, flying down off the back of their slot at Aussie's Unify Festival.

Tickets go on sale midday Monday, August 15.

The fan club presale starts midday Thursday, August 11, and the Live Nation presale starts midday Friday, August 12.
