Kim Kardashian wins war of words as Taylor Swift backlash escalates

Kardashian reportedly decided to act because she didn't want people thinking the rapper was a "liar" after the Bad Blood singer said she had never given her approval to the song.

In her Snapchat posts, Kardashian shared footage of West and Swift on the phone, with the 39-year-old rapper reading her the lyric: "For all my Southside n****s that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex".

In response, Swift could be heard saying: "It's like a compliment."

West reassured the singer he wanted her to "feel good" about the song and thanked her for being "so cool" about it, while she said she appreciated the "head's up" about the song.

She added: "Go with whatever line ... [you think is] better."

However, Swift later insisted she never approved the lyrics West used in the track.

She wrote: "Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that b***h' in his song? It doesn't exist because it never happened. You don't get to control someone's emotional response to being called 'that b***h' in front of the entire world."

After Kardashian posted the video proving Swift was wrong, Twitter users quickly jumped on the escalating feud.

They spread gifs, memes and messages that suggested Kardashian was winning the war of words.
