Shortland Street stars Ben Barrington and Pua Magasiva were left "shaken" after a car crash this afternoon.

Barrington and Magasiva, who is also a breakfast announcer for NZME radio station Flava, were involved in a "minor incident" this afternoon, a South Pacific Pictures spokeswoman said.

The crash was reportedly on Auckland's Southern Motorway.

"Whilst both cast members were obviously shaken, there are no serious injuries to report," a statement from South Pacific Pictures said.

"Both actors are currently back on set filming."

Barrington has been playing Dr Drew McCaskill on Shortland Street since 2015 and Magasiva has been playing Vinnie Kruse since 2006.
