R Kelly had to sing to prove his identity to a drunk fan - it didn't work

While most celebrities have trouble avoiding being recognised on the street, R Kelly had to belt out a song to prove to a fan that he was actually R Kelly.

The hip hop singer met an inebriated fan while in Jacksonville last week for his Buffet tour, and became involved in a $100 bet as to whether or not he was who he said he was.

But rather than whipping out some form of ID, Kelly simply belted out a couple of bars from his classic 1994 hit Bump N' Grind to an ecstatic crowd.

DJ Dr. Doom, of local radio station 93.3, caught the whole thing on camera and posted it to social media.

The best part is that even after the impressive show, the drunk fan remained adamant it still wasn't R Kelly he was standing next to, and then tried to challenge him to a sing off.
