The Internet are returning to New Zealand for two shows in Auckland and Wellington this August.

After winning over Kiwi crowds at last year's Laneway Festival, the LA-based soul collective will return to headline off the back of their latest album.

The Grammy-nominated Ego Death is their third album and has been described as their "most evolved", featuring collaborations with the likes of Janelle Monae and rappers Tyler the Creator, and Vic Mensa.

The live band is a six-person operation, featuring Patrick Paige II, Christopher Allan Smith, Jameel Bruner and Steve Lacy joining Internet founders Syd and Matt.

They'll play Auckland's Powerstation on August 2, and Wellington's Shed 6 on August 4.

Tickets are available from AAA Ticketing and Ticketek respectively, and go on sale Wednesday, May 25.
