Eagle-eyed music fans may have noticed there are two separate Block Parties happening in Auckland this month.

One, taking place on the waterfront, is home to a music line-up, some art displays, cypher battles, breakdancing, games, stalls and more.

The other, taking place at the ASB Showgrounds, is a hip-hop festival boasting a line-up for the ages.

The Queens Wharf Block Party is being touted as a "community extravaganza".

Auckland circus performer ZakTakular, aka Zachary Washer, was the star of the show at last year's Queens Wharf Block Party.
