Bruce Springsteen honoured Prince with a rendition of Purple Rain.
The New York Daily News reports that opening his first concert since the death of Prince last week, Springsteen walked onto a purple-bathed stage in Brooklyn and began performing the song with no introduction.
The Daily News
said the crowd held lighters and mobile phone flashlights during the rendition.
Nils Lofgren played the guitar solo.
The Boss praised Prince, saying, "there's never been any better." He added: "I always left one of his shows humbled".
