Louis Tomlinson has reached a temporary custody settlement with the mother of his one-month-old son.
According to TMZ, the One Direction singer - who welcomed baby Freddie Reign with Los Angeles based stylist Briana Jungwirth last month - had been planning to go to court to ask a judge "to formally establish paternity and give him access to Freddie".
It had been alleged that Briana has "gotten greedy" and has been demanding more money, preventing Louis from visiting Freddie and using the tot to land a better deal.
However, the pair came to an agreement which will allow Louis to see Freddie for several hours at a time but with no overnight visits yet.
Their lawyers are now working together to secure a permanent arrangement.
The 24-year-old singer has already given Briana a three-bedroom home in Calabasas, California, and is renting his own lavish abode nearby in order to be close to his son.
He hasn't had a DNA test to prove paternity, but insists there is no doubt he is Freddie's father and he and Briana were dating exclusively when she got pregnant.
Louis flew back to the UK this week to attend the BRIT Awards in London and admitted it was hard being so far away from his little boy for the first time.
He said: "I'm still getting used to it. It's my first time away from him so I miss him, obviously, but it's cool. I do get Father's Day now."
