In an effort to step up to his new role as a dad, One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has reportedly agreed to pay nearly US$16,000 (NZD$24698) a month for the upkeep of his son.
"Louis is doing everything he can to provide for mother and baby. He's very wealthy but is still being hugely generous in the amount he is giving... He's taking being a dad very seriously," a source told The Sun newspaper in the U.K.
Jungwirth and baby Freddie are reportedly taking up residence in a four-bedroom house in the luxury community of Calabasas in Los Angeles, with Louis reportedly footing the bill for the private property's US$6,720 (4,200)-a-month rent.
Meanwhile, the star's newborn son has his own internet domain name in an effort to stop One Direction fans from creating bogus websites, according to a report.
Baby Freddie Tomlinson caused a social media frenzy when Louis announced that his ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth had given birth to their son on January 21 in Los Angeles,
"I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I'm very happy!!" he wrote on Twitter on January 23.
He later posted a touching snap of him cradling his son on the social media site, and finally revealed his name to the world. "Meet my little lad, Freddie," he captioned the image.
Within minutes, thousands of One Direction fans had created bogus Twitter accounts inspired by Freddie's name, leading Jungwirth's family to step in to protect the baby's identity.
The domain FreddieTomlinson.com was registered on January 27, just minutes after Louis announced his son's name, editors at TMZ report.
