Batman vs Superman producer Charles Roven says the Batman we'll see in the new film won't exactly be the hero we've come to know.
Speaking to Empire, Roven reveals Batman might have more of a blood-lust than previously thought."(Batman) is not giving people a chance," he told the film magazine.
"He is more than a vigilante. He has become not only the cop, if you will, he has also become the jury and executioner."
Playing the iconic comic book character this time is Ben Affleck, who has transformed the character away from his predecessor Christian Bale's iteration.
"He's older, he's seen the worst of what man can do," Roven said."He's been darkened by it, he's tougher, he's angrier I guess."
While Batman seems to take a disliking to Superman, played by Henry Cavill, the trailer shows them uniting to fight a common enemy.
The film also debuts Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in New Zealand on March 24.
