Neil Finn's old family home in the Auckland suburb of Parnell is back on the market after failing to sell at auction last week.
The asking price has been set at $3,750,000 dollars - well below the CV of $5.1 million.
While Milne and Co Real Estate's Pene Milne did say the CV valuation is not always indicative of market value, she would not evaluate further on the reason for the lower asking price.
Bidding for the house, at 18 Corunna Avenue, was opened on a vendor bid of $3million and passed in with no bids at the auction on Thursday last week.
The 114-year-old villa that has five bedrooms, five living areas and three bathrooms and a 480sqm recording studio, is where both the Finn boys grew up.
It is also where Neil Finn wrote and recorded some of his most famous songs, including Not the Girl You Think You Are, She Will Have Her Way, and Won't Give In.
The adjacent property at 15 Corunna Ave, which the Finn family also owns, is valued at $4.9 million dollars and had been sold prior to the auction.
