Kiwi comedian Rhys Darby has confirmed he's joining the cast for a new season of The X-Files.
Darby's friend David Farrier revealed the Flight of the Conchords star is heading to Vancouver to join David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for The X-Files shoot.
No details about the role Darby may be playing have been released, but Darby confirmed the news on Twitter.
Creator Chris Carter announced the show's six-episode resurrection in March this year.

Darby has been spending time in the US this year working on Wrecked.
Darby and Farrier starred together on the show Short Poppies and co-host The Cryptid Factor podcast.
