Aussie star Jason Clarke is seen climbing to the top of the world alongside some major Hollywood stars in the just released trailer for the disaster epic Everest.
The three minute teaser shows spectacular footage of the world's highest mountain and the brutal conditions climbers were stuck in during a snow blizzard in 1996.
There were two expedition groups led by Scott Fischer, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, and New Zealander Rob Hall, played by Jason Clarke.
It ended with the death of eight climbers.
"You are following in the footsteps of history; something beyond the power of words to describe," Hall says at the opening of the trailer.
Played by Clarke - a rising Aussie actor and producer who has starred in Zero Dark Thirty, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and The Great Gatsby - Hall has a decidedly Australian accent while Keira Knightly, who plays his wife, Dr Jan Arnold, has nailed the Kiwi twang.
Josh Brolin and Michael Kelly also feature in the trailer, which recreates the climbers' terrifying fight for survival.
Directed by Baltasar Kormakur, Everest is due to be released in September.
