Big fighting men like Mickey Rourke might be tough, but that does not compare to the protectiveness of a mother.
Actress Anna Faris, 38, made that clear on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
During her interview, the Mom star told the story of how a grumpy, 62-year-old Rourke once shushed her baby son, Jack (now two and a half), during a long airplane flight.
Faris had been travelling from London - where husband Chris Pratt was, at the time, filming Guardians Of The Galaxy.
As the actress told Jimmy Kimmel, she and Jack were in their seats while the plane waited for take-off when the baby began "vocalising."
"Not screaming, not crying, just being adorable, I thought," Faris continued. "But I'm also sweating, because now everyone is hating me around me."
That nervousness would have been bad enough for Faris, but then one of her fellow passengers made his displeasure known.
"Across the aisle, I hear a SHHHHH!" explained Faris. "And I look over and it's Mickey Rourke."
It turns out, as Faris learned later from a colleague, that "Mickey Rourke has a thing: He likes to shush babies."
But that didn't help Faris in the moment: "I was already so nervous before... and then to have Mickey Rourke confirm that didn't feel great!"
When Jimmy wondered if Rourke's reaction could have been some sort of joke, Faris didn't think so.
"Then he started grumbling, like: You better shut that baby up!"
Fortunately for all concerned, both baby Jack and Rourke fell asleep for much of the rest of the journey.
Jimmy, who seemed very indignant on the part of his guest and her baby, pointed out that The Wrestler star was known for travelling with yappy Chihuahua dogs.
"I'm gonna shush that Chihuahua next time I seem him!" Faris exclaimed with a laugh.
That may be awhile, however, since Faris didn't seem eager to reconnect with the notoriously tough Rourke any time soon.
