Neil Finn is heading out on a national tour in September for his latest album Dizzy Heights and he's taking Bic Runga along for the ride.
And his Auckland date coincides with election night on September 20.
"I'm hoping @TheCivilianNZ Party will be there making a victory speech," Finn tweeted today.
Finn will be backed by six-piece band which includes wife Sharon. The homecoming dates follow a four-month world tour which has included shows in Australia, North America, Europe and the Middle East.
As well as new Dizzy tracks, the shows - which have seen Finn and band on stage for two hours a night - will dip into Finn's back catalogue of songs from Crowded House, Split Enz, Finn brothers and his previous solo albums.
The supporting turn by Runga is the first time the singer-songwriter has toured since 2011. She is currently working on her fifth album.
