Frock-wearing Irish comedian Brendan O'Carroll of the hit sitcom Mrs. Brown's Boys is bringing a live version of the show to New Zealand - but not until 2016.
The Good Mourning Mrs Brown stage show is due here in March 2016 and promoters won't be announcing full dates and venues until next month.
O'Caroll's recent tour of Australia sold out 48 arena dates and played to more than 265,000 fans.
Thousands of New Zealanders reportedly crossed the Tasman to see the show and after meeting so many Kiwis, O'Carroll decided he needed to include NZ on his return tour to Australia in 2016.
"And you know there are a lot of places I haven't been, and I'm dying to see, and people said I should go to New Zealand . . . so I'm going to New Zealand."
The Mrs. Brown juggernaut has clocked up millions of DVD sales with the show picking up multiple British television awards. In New Zealand the show - which is screening repeats at the moment - is a consistently high-rater on TV One.
A movie spin-off Mrs. Brown's Boys' D'Movie opens in New Zealand on July 24.
An interview with O'Carroll appears in Weekend TimeOut on Saturday.
