Troubled actor Shia LaBeouf has reportedly checked into rehab just days after he was arrested in New York City following an outburst in a Broadway theatre.
The Transformers star was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and harassment on Thursday after disrupting the stage show Cabaret.
According to theatregoers, LaBeouf was spotted smoking in the theatre and began shouting obscenities when security staff asked him to leave the venue.
Radar Online is reporting LaBeouf checked in to a private facility in Los Angeles for undisclosed treatment.
"The actor checked into rehab in Los Angeles on Monday after being spotted carrying Alcoholics Anonymous literature," says the report on radaronline.com.
LaBeouf's erratic behaviour has hit the headlines a number of times this year.
He wore a paper bag emblazoned with the words, "I am not famous anymore" over his head at the Berlin Film Festival in Germany and staged a bizarre performance art showcase in Hollywood, where fans, critics and reporters were all invited to hurl abuse at him in a gallery.
He also made headlines for a brawl in a London pub.
A spokeswoman for LaBeouf has not responded to a request for a comment.
